Internet addiction killed a baby girl

Yesterday an interesting new was published. This sad new was about a corean baby girl that died of innutrition because her parents were internet addicts. Her parents were desemployed adults of 41 and 25 years old who played a virtual game named “Prius Online” for about 6 to 8 hours a day and didn’t give the enough attention and food to their daughter. This internet addiction took them to have a dead daughter and took them directly to jail.

With this article we can see what an addiction can do, the consequences of addictions, why should we avoid them and in the case of having an addiction the answer to “what should I do?” is: ASK FOR HELP!... to get attention and be able to get out of this addiction you have to first accept you have a problem and then ask for help so you can get through it without hurting so much yourself or other people.

We must be carful with the people you hang around because they may be bad people and it’s not good for you to hang around with people that can take you to an addiction or to do bad things.

OK, that is a shocking and REALLY sad news. Unfortunately those are things that are really happening right know since the internet is being used for EVERYTHING today. If you don´t have internet it is like you live in another world and you don´t get informed of things around the world. You can order your food through the internet, buy stuff, see movies, download music, share pictures, oh well, so many things! One of those things are those virtual games that a lot of people play, but others , like these parents, have no other life but the one they have in the game and they give less attention to the things around them. In this case, their daughter. Aww, it is so sad!!! I mean, how could they not take care of their baby!!!? That is so inhumane, not even an animal does that!! Yes, I agree with you, ADDICTIONS ARE VERRYY BAD and a terrible problem in our society ..

I agree with you that this are really shocking and bad news, but I think we can't blame it on the internet. It is true that the internet has all this things that could take us to the level of "addiction", but it depends to us. The internet is a very usefool tool to help us and entretain us among other things, and we have to know that we should use it with responsability. Also this parents took a huge responsability when they decided to have a child, and they must have been out of their minds because they let a human being that they should have loved starve to death. It makes you see how far an addiction can go and how we really need to set our priorities straight, even when they seem obvious. We all should leave our ways of entertainment to when we finish the urgent and the important things, like FEEDING YOUR OWN CHILD!

I also read this story in the British press - a sad consequence of our growing internet addiction as a society. It is hard to truly understand the power of an addiction unless you have had one or have one, but in this case the consequences were clear and caused the loss of life. It is a clear danger, and as we evolve towards a society that bases itself more and more on the internet, we have to be aware that there are costs as well as benefits. We will need to develop new mechanisms to deal with the "costs," but unfortunately, this still doesn't take away the sad reality that in this case, a baby lost her life.
