NOT EVEN SKY?

Last week in my French class the teacher was teaching us about TV programs of France. Since my teacher is from Cuba immeditely we started talking about TV programs of Cuba. Cuba is a country that is caracterized by having a government that few countries in the world have, known as Socialism. Socialism is a type of government known as GOVERNMENT CONTROL EVERYTHING .. but when I used to think about it I did not taught it was so radical. First of all government control works, food and EVEN TV! TV is controled in a way that people only have 4 TV chanels, but the thing here is that they do not have TV'ads!!!.. I think these is one of the most radical types of governments and i'm really against it, people have to always be allowed to earn money to buy wht they want, work in what they want, get the life they want! BUT how can this be so radical? and also how can people still follow that type of government. I do not say that Mexico's type of government is the best one or that people live better in here than in Cuba, but where are people rights? WE ARE FREE! we do not need some one to speal neither to gave us what they think we need. SPEAK OUT YOUR RIGHTS

Sexual Education

Last night I got the chance of talking with a friend of mine about pregnancy in children, and we both had the same point of view about the topic. We think that many girls and boys of my generation face a poor knowledge about the topic. School usually teach us about HIV or common diseases you can get. But school is not there when you need some one to talk or to ask doubt that you have. So we came to a conclusion that nothing is better than having an open conversation with your parents, because they are the one that will never let that something bad happen to you. They are the ones that haver already passed trough you age and can give you tips so you can go to the right direction. I usually talk with my mom about girls of my age who are pregnant and girls that already have babies. I found this really sad because some of them where friends of mine and I think having babies in such an early age disturbes everything on your life(plans). Not because of bringin the baby to life I mean because you will have to drop school and where is your future? You may have sometime to start working to you can give your child something to eat or sometimes where to sleep! I invite all of you before of doing somenthing to talk to some one mayba friend, an aunt, some one in church and of course your parents. Think what can a children do with another children? At your age you are nos capable of mainanting anothers life. Abstinence is good everything has it's own time.

Seriously RESPECT yourself. (SCARY TRUTH)

Few days ago I was watching the news in television and they where giving information about something that really make me anger. They where talking about flirbots, naughty pictures and people who use to send dirty or sexy messages how you like to call it. I did not knew many thing about this, so I started looking up on internet about this; I found out that it has been creating many problems in society not only because couples are sharing personal pictures and taughts by text messages. Also because bad people change their identity, because that is really easy on internet, and start persuading girls to send them naughty pictures. When the convince girls to send them they show them up on internet or sell them. So girls and also boys should be aware of this kind of thing beacuse it is happening. You have to respect yourself, your BODY! sending pictures in nude can cause severe problems in your life. The internet is very dangerous you will never be sure if it is safe to send those kind of pictures to someone you dont know in person, and also to people you knew.

5 reasons girls decide NOT to send this kind of things:

-You might regret it later

-People may thinks bad of yourself.

-You could damage your reputation.

-You could damage your family and future relationships.

-You can get into a probelm of rape or promiscuity.

TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT OS GIRLS AGES 13-16 HAVE SENT A SEXT TEXT MESSAGE OR1M. BUT DID YOU KNOW THAT 22% OF THE PEOPLE WHO RECIEVED IT HAVE SHARED IT WITH THERI FRIENDS, AND 39% OF PEOPLE WHO RECIEVED IT HAS FORWARDED IT. SO THEY ARE MANY CHANCES THAT IF YOU TEXT THING LIKE THAT SOME ONE ELSE SEE IT, WILL YOUT TAKE THE RISK?

ABORTION?

I thinkk abortion should not be legalized in Mexico. This action is really cruel and of course it is consider homicide. We all have dignity and also the right to decide if we want to live or not! But the baby can not decide, so we have to decide for him and kill him or her? OF COURSE NO!

Recently we have many problems with this topic, because it is a very polemic topic. Everybody wants to make their comments women think they have the choice to decide beacuse the baby is growing inside her, but people argue that they are wrong because that baby is a human and do not deserve that treat.

I do not think abortion is the right choice, being pregnant is not a problem ladies. And just think a little bit women who pratice abortion will absoluteley live with that for the rest of theri lives, don't you have a little of councious? YOU ARE KILLING SOME ONE OF COURSE YOU WILL REGRET. And think of it in this way you want to get rid of a "problem by killing your baby", but are you going to really get of the problem? i think women will have many psycological and of course physical problems after surgery!

Abortion is bad in many aspects I think that women will start loosing respect from themseleves, beacuse even if they get ptregnant they will have "opportunity" to get rid of the baby. This is really bad. Babies should have the right to decide! DO NOT KILL THEM! Abortion should be punished in many aspects! They exist another alternatives such as adoption. You can help us finish with this! NO ABORTION!

CEPAL predicted that Mexico will be one of the most afected countries beacuse of the crisis.

Since the beggining ot the crisis our Mexican president told us that this crisis will barley affect us Mexicans. Even today beggining of 2010 Mexico is still suffering the conosequences of the crisis. It is known that te economic crisis(2008-2009) is the worst recession that Mexico have faced in the last 70 years! But I do not understand how our Mexican government let things go this way, what I mean by saying this way is that Mexico is facing a lot of problems that are related to economy which is unemployment and extreme poverty. But how do all this problems started? It is known that Mexico is one of the countries with the highest dependence in commerce with the United States. This why Mexico immediatley started feeling changes in its economy. The changes Mexico was experiencing where affecting in a dominal way all sector of economy in the Mexican economy. But what happen when you are noticing that you are not selling tomatoes, or maybe you are not selling textiles; normally you stop producing it in high quantities. A smaller production needs less workes, so this is how unemployment started appearing. Mexico have a weak economy that is why we had so many problems. Also I think that the problem with petroleum have a lot to do with economy. Since all this problems started comming out Mexico searched for new alternatives like increase taxtation, and created new taxes. But how do this help us? I think this does not help us at all it makes us a burocratic country. Our government is making a fool of us by trying to bill us for his problems and his sense of not being worried when the crisis started by saying anything is going to happen to our country because of the crisis. But know I will go all the way to his place and ask him Mr. President what will you do if you where the one with no job or with no money?

Also Mexico had great opportunity of job in its touristic areas, but what happend it also came down beacuse of all thing thing of the crisis! So what is opur government or our president doing! He should be trying to help his country instead of trying to capture people that they know they are not able to capture(drug dealers) because even they are more prepared than our governent and that is somenthing they should shame on it. Even before our government lie to us saying us that the United States crisis will not affect us, CEPAL have already wrote that Mexico will be the country most affected with the crisis.

LABORAL DISCRIMINATION

WORK IS A RIGHT FOR EVERYONE NO MATTER HOW YOU ARE OR WHAT YOU HAVE!!!

Since December my borther went and take some exams to make an application for a job opportunity. Weeks later some on of the office called him and told him that if he passed the exam que will have to go to an interview at Monterrey, so he started gathering information of the thing the people of Monterrey will asked him. The thing is that almost 9 of 10 people fail de exam, and almost 9.5 of 10 did not what to answer in the interview. A week passed it was almost February and my brother received a call in which they told him that he have passed the exam an that in a week he will have an appointment in Monterrey for the interview. Almost a week ago he received the call in which they told him that he was accepted that the only thing that was missing was a medical checkup in CEMEX Hermosillo. So in Thursday morning he went there with all the tests and analyses they asked him. The Laboral Doctor that attend him just open his x-rays of his column and told him sorry we can not give you work because in the future yo will have a discapacity because of your column. My borther really sad arrived home almost crying telling that they did not accept him that he will never find a job because of what they told them. My mom histerically started trying, and the first thing she told him was get inside the car we are going to the hospital. It was 4 p.m and until 9 p.m we were still without knowing what my bother have. Until 9 30 he came out and we have to call a doctor with emergency. The doctor told us that he had a perfect column that the image the take him was not definitive to prove he was wrong, so imagine how many people suffer from the same discrimination. Imagine people who like my brother they told them the same, but they do not have the way to get another opinion of a doctor because they do not have money. And know imagine people with cancer, aids, people that can not walk! do not discriminate them they can do the same that us because we are equal in every aspect!

ANA AND MIA

Last night I was having many problems to sleep so I started reading some bloggs I found on internet. Suddenly I saw a blog about Ana and Mia. Even today morning I am still feeling really upset about what I read last night. In this blog girls and boys that have problems such as anorexia and builima share information about how they feel and many other thigs. The thing that got me really upset and also mad is the fact that girls that are 1. 70 height and weight 50 kg are trying to find diets, because they feel FAT! These kinds of diseases and web sites are the ones governement should talk about in campaigns to try to prohibit them or to show the society about them, and also talk to parents so the can be aware about what their kids look up on internet. This blog need to be prohibited because it is creating a monster og those boys and girls who actually believe that they are helping them by giving them diets that actually are killing them. Another thing I saw on tha blog was "TIPS" that everyone post like every time you are hungry put a pillow under your skirt and think you will looke like that when you eat your favorite apple. This kind of web site are not only damaging phisically the people who follow it this website is also damaging phsycologically everyone and pushing them more into their probelm. In many parts of the world they have really good campaings to warn girls about this diseases, and in Mexico we actually have not had one and I think it is time to make an intervention. Girls and Boys you do not have to look like a "princess" to be pretty you just have to be yourself.

ELEVEN MINUTES

Last night I finished reading a book of one of my favorite authors Paulo Cohelo. The book is named Eleven Minutes, when I finished reading the book I went with my mom and started giving her a breif description about the book because I wanted her to read it. The book is about a Brazilian poor girl looking for opportunities in the big cities, suddenly she was involved in a prostituion work. The conflict was that when the girl started earning money she taught that with that job she can actually get everything she had always dreamed, and thing like that. My mom was really interested in what I was talking, but she interrupted me beacuse she remebered something she saw on TV in the morning. She started telling me about a program she saw of prostitution, but that it was really weird beacuse many time we associate the word prostitution with a low class girl, the thing is that in this program the girls that where in this kind of job where middle class and high class girls that where trying like in the book get things that they have always dreamed about having like bags, jewelery, shoes ETC. So when my mom told me about this I looked some articles in internet, and I found one of UNICEF that a recent survey talks about this problem that it not only affect low classes. I think that this is really bad for every girl not only for middle an high class girls even for low class girls and of course also boys. This is another thing we should have more in consideration like many other problems this is also important.

IT'S TIME TO END DISTRACTED DRIVING.

Today when I was in my way to a friends house I took a chance to look outside the car window, and suddenly I saw how a girl was about to create a huge accident. The reason of the girl was that she was texting a message on her cellphone. So I started thinking and I got to a conclusion that millions of people talk, text, and sometimes e-mail on their cellphones while driving. But if you think you can do whatever of the things I mentioned above, let me tell you you can not. Things can wait and a message while driving do not wait for you, they can kill you in a second. Almost 60 percent of the society accepted that they use their cellphones while driving. So let me tell you, you are not the only living person in streets families, kids, and granpa's are there. Open your eyes and see how you can destroy a family by turing downside to your cell to send a message. Driving and talking is as harmful as driving with alcohol influence. When I arrived home I strated looking about a campaign that my ethics teacher talked about in our last class. the campaign was proposed by Oprah and I got to say this is one of the best things I have know recently. So I invite to STOP using cells whinle driving and to be aware remeber your life is also in danger. CARS ARE ¡NO PHONE ZONE!

ARE THEY IN DANGER?

Las night I was reading an article in Internet about Haiti's problems since the disaster of the past January. Food and where to sleep is not the only problem they are still facing. Since the disaster it is known that there was a ENORMOUS problem with insecurity in the street, but who are the people that are in a more vulnerable situation? the vulnerable ones are KIDS. It is known that many people loose part of their family, some other loose their entire family. Many kids are walking in the streets facing dangerous situation and no one is watching out for them. So what's happening kids are disappearing. People in Haiti are in a situation that they will do whatever just to get money and by this whatever I'm talkin is about selling kids even they own kids. I'm really mad with this situation, beacause many people still have not found their family, so we need to push someone to do something because this can not continue happening. The same mistake happen the first week since the disaster planes from Miami and Holland arrived Haiti to take children to another place away from them! but wait a second how did they know in that short time that those kids did not have family. Thing like this should NOT happen! so kids are in danger and we need to stop this.

LOSING TIME?

Today I was so stressed, because i had a lot of homework to do and of course finish my math study guide. I woke up at 8 a.m. and when I notice what it was it was 12 o'clock, and i strated thinking what have i done in my day until today. Firts I woke up and take breakfast, then I order my room, and of course I turned on my computer. Messenger is part of my daily life the easiest way of communication, but today I realized how many time I waste in my computer using messenger to communicate with my friends about non sense things. Thinking about that I notice many times we use phones, cell phones, msn, hotmail, or any type of communication just to loose time. I think we should star considering this kind of means to communicate important things, and not to waste time. Maybe one day you will need to call urgently to an ambulance, and your brother will be fighting with his girlfriend by phone about who loves more the other. So be aware and do not lose time in stupid things, and you will notice by the end of the day that you have plenty of time to waste, and you can now use it in whatever you want.

SHOUT FOR EQUALITY!

2010 is here and we are still facing problems with equality between men and women. Many statistics show that inequality is something that it is learned at home and by our culture. But 2010 is time to shout for equality we can not continue living in a community having inequialities between humans(men and women) that have the same capacity to make things possible. Things can not continue this way beacuse everyone is the same no matter what gender you are, what you wear, or where you live. Inequality has to be a lot with discrimination. The term discrimination that refers to the treatment taken against to a certain people or group. Inequality between men and women is like a kind os discrimination because they think women like things. The thing is that women are EQUAL to men only with different physical characteristics. In my thursday exam I read something about inequal payment of 21% less to women even if they have more studies than men. This are the kind of thing we need to change for our future and for our kids future. The kind of thing that our parents lived we do not have the necessity to face them because they are not fair. So it is your decision the type of life you want for you and for your kids. We need to shout for equality now!

We Need an Inmediate Intervention

Nowadays human trafficking with purpose of trafficking or illegal traffic has increased alarmingly. This is due to the problems in economy, the ones many countries face, also because of the lack of implementation of programs to combat it, and of course the huge demands of cheap labor work. Human trafficking is the third most lucrative crime worldwide, next to drug traffic and arms traffic.
This bad situation had contributed for women, kids and youngsters, in vulnerable situations became preys of crimes including sexual and labor exploitation. This gave rise to the phenomenon of human trafficking, which first was called “WHITE TRAFFIKING”.
In the middle 80’s the international community, in search to define the phenomenon of human trafficking, consider insufficient the term white trafficking, that until that days still was used to define the problem, the reason of changing the name was that not only white women where traffic for sexual exploitation, instead kids, youngsters and women from several parts of the world where exploited sexually and labouringly. This is why the term “Human trafficking” started being used, but this term suddenly started to present confusions because not all traffics necessarily involve people.
Trafficking in migrants is given usually in illegal terms, which facilitate the introduction of a person to a country in which he/she was not born or lived in there; with the purpose of obtaining an economical or material benefit.
Trafficking in migrants and of humans are extremely delimited in diverse national legislations characterized as CRIMES!
It was until December of 200, when 147 nations signed the convention of the United Nations against the organized crime and its sub themes like human trafficking. In December of 2003 the Unites Nations started punishing and suppressing the crime.As we can observe human trafficking is a very complex phenomenon, which does not have sexually and labouringly means only. In contrast in this term we can find many crimes some of the most commons are fake adoptions with the purpose to sell kids and organs; labor workers with purpose of forced marriages, and capturing kids to send them to wars.

BARBIE BOOM

WE FACE CHANGES EVERY DAY

Countries have been facing many changes through the years passed. Since the creation of the Barbie doll the world saw it as a stereotype of what a girl and women should be or look like. The Barbie model at firste was a stereotype of the perfect girl and women, but as the years passed on we could see how Mattel Co. (BARBIES CREATOR) changed the Barbie's original look, and also introduced friends and accesories; these can be used as a measurment of how society has changed.

When Barbie first came out she was a perfect blonde girl with the most fashionable outfits, but as years passed every girl wanted to be as cute and as blonde as Barbie. People started noticing this little thing that made this stereotype really bad for society. The first thing that was considered a controversy was Barbie's measurmentes. Because everyone wanted to be like Barbie, society started facing problems as anorexia and bluimia. Next controversy was that Barbie was blonde and it was being selled over the world which meaned that the perfect stereotype for girls was being blonde, so Mattel Co. have to bring out an idea to erease this thinking of discrimination. The big shot was when Mattel created Barbie's friends, but the interesting part of this new dolls was that every new friend had different physical charactereistics which mean that every friend was representing a girl from other side of the world. But there is also a really good part of this Barbie always have been seen in different carreers like giving women the chance to decide in a variety of things what they could be in th future this is a really good example of how things have changed in society through years.

Barbie was the first women looking doll, and she still is part ouf our life but with many changes. Changes in Barbie's appearance and creations of new dolls represent the changes we have had as a community like women and men being equal in society, and Barbie also showed us that everyone should be conisdered the sam without importance of skin color or clothes. Do not ever think of Barbie just like an 11 and a half inch piece of plastic. Barbie is now considered as a representation of women and dolls.

The Impact of Facebook in Society

IS IT "BAD" OR "GOOD" FOR US?

Since Facebook was created in 2004 it had become a phenomenon for the social networking and society itself. The impact that Facebook created is that it allows people who probably never would have met each other to communicate, it creates new relationships and friendships, and it places distance between people who could communicate in person but instead choose to communicate online, instead. It is just another element of society that is interested in sharing infomartion.

Facebook has a good and a bad impact for society. The good impact is the one that it allows people from different sides of the globe to communicate in an easier way and express their feelings and form of life in a more open way. Instead many researchers categorize Facebook as "bad" for our society. Since many people is showing many important and personal information it had lead to many kidnappings and robbery. So be aware of who you accept as a friend and to whom you share your information.
