It was not my fault

One day i was reading the newspaper and I found a note that called my attention. The note was about a teenage girl that crushed. She was driving her car and she didn’t respect a stop sign. At the same time another car was driving and they crushed. The car accident was not what called my attention, what called my attention was that when the authorities were asking what happen the teenage girl said : “IT was his fault not mine, he was driving too fast” Thanks God the authorities did their job and penalize the girl. It would have been stupid if they didn’t. I’m sure that if the girl was daughter of a politician or came from a rich family the story would have been different and she would be free of any problem, but that’s not the case.
The reason I’m writing about this that we always want to blame somebody else for our errors. Since the beginning of human life blaming somebody is a bad habit that we have. Think about Adan and Eva, when God was disappointed at them, Adan blamed Eva and Eva blamed the snake. Since then we always blame somebody. Why can’t we be responsible for the consequences of our acts? I think that blaming somebody is a sign of cowardly, immaturity and irresponsibility. We need to break the habit; we need to start being responsible for what we do. Sometime we blame others because we are scared but we need to realize that by blaming somebody else we can damage an innocent person. it’s ok to commit errors, what’s inacceptable is to don’t correct them.

Murders in Ciudad Juarez

Continued drug-related violence in the troubled Mexican border town of Juarez caused the Mexican government to make a change: replacing the army with a federal police force. It is very sad to read that in Ciudad Juarez, now officially recognized as the most insecure city in the world, the breaking news is that there were no people killed in 24 hours. At that point this city has arrived, to be happy because of one day the police did not have to lead with a bloody body.
Now Felipe Calderon, President of Mexico is sending more troops in order to keep controlling the insecurity in that city watching specific places and taking care of the citizens in order to wait the Federal police to retake their activities. Under the "Safe Corridors" program, the SSP will deploy 5,000 agents to patrol in the city's main streets, and carry out inspections in bars, billiards bars, schools and addiction treatment centers.
Turf wars between criminal gangs have caused 4,200 deaths in 2008 and 2009, and 500 so far this year.
Juarez Mayor Jose Reyes Ferriz told several Mexican media outlets on Wednesday that the city would now have a "policing solution." But how many times we have heard this and the murders keep going?
The army had taken over for a local police force widely seen as corrupt. But the use of the Mexican army as the chief policing force in Juarez had riled critics, who said the influence of troops led to torture and extrajudicial killings, as well as human rights violations, now more often than before.
Insecurity is everywhere in Ciudad Juarez, the “sicarios” and the army had taken almost by complete the city, it is a live war that hundreds of thousands of people are experiencing day after day, like is they were at war also, the only big difference is that they are not in charge of combat the bad guys.

Hard Working

This partial has been full of projects homework and extracurricular activities. Sometimes I ask myself if school has always been as stressful as it is today. Once I ask my mom that question and she told me that in her times, homework was not as heavy as it is today and that they didn’t have as much of activities as we have today. At first I was kind of mad, because of all the things school expects us to do. I mean, why do have to study that much? why do we need to do so many things every day? why is it different?. We normally got to school 7 hours a day and they still want us to work at home. I went on strike for a while and refused to do my homework, but come on, who am I fooling? I had to do my homework so I started doing it.
The week before Semana Santa I had tons of homework, projects and activities I had to assist at school, and lets don’t forget about servicio becario and the rehearsal for our literature play. Something you will like to add? It was very stressful and full of hard working, but I was able to succeed on it. Finally vacations came, but guess what? Homework! Even though I was able to relax I still had to make a space on my schedule to do homework. That was not the worst, the worst of all came when we return to classes. All this week I have been going to sleep at 2am and I woke up at 5:30am. Not cool at all! But this was not the reason I decided to write about this. The reason is that I realize that all the hard work I had was worthwhile. Every single thing I did will help me in some way in my life. Sometime our schedule is completely full and we stress and get mad, but I think it is important to realize that all that hard work will be payback sooner or later in the future. Just remember:
“The success is only the reward, what really matters is hard working”

The Lovely Bones

Last week i watched a movie called "The Lovely Bones". The movie takes place in year of 1973. it tells the storry of a girl named Susie, who was raped and murdered. She had a nice life. She had a nice family: mom , dad, little sister and brother. She also lived inanice neighborhod and went to school. She wasa tipical 15 year old. One day, after school, she was walking to her house when she saw her neighbor, Mr Harvey. She stopped to say hi and he invted her to enter a underground den he had jsut build. At fisrt she was not sure about it but he convinced her. One she entered he Raped her and murderd her. When she was late to dinner time er parrents started to worry, so her father went out to look for her. The mom called everybody she new to asked for her and she also called the police. The police started looking for the girl, they never find her. they only find the underground den and some stuff of her. The investigation lasted month but they never found anything. The police went to the house of every neighbor, they even went to the house of Mr Harvey, but they only made questons. Mr Harvey was a serial killer, he was carzy. He had raped and murdered mor than 15 girlsin the past years and he was never been caught. At the end of the movie the little sister of Susie brokes into Mr Harvey's hose and founds a notebook with evidence that proved that He was the killer. Mr Harvey is able to run away before the police arrives. He takes Susie's body with him, which is inside a save-deposit box and he throw it in a sinkwhole. (a whole in the earth). Obviously the body was never found.
The movie made me realize that even thought the movie could not be base in realistic facts, this realy happen. Before, cellphone didn't existed, parrents were not able to comunicate with the children. Now a days, you are ate for a minute and they have already call you more than five times. If you are n trouble, have an accident are lsot or something, you are able to call for help form your cellphone. Tecnology facilitates our lives alot. More tecnology also means more security. Now a days when someone is missing the police department has a lot of tecnology to find it. They really make good investigations. I see tv programs like Medical detectives and it is incredible how they are abel to solve a crime jst with a part of a nail or a smoked cigarret. Tecnology does not only mean more fun or mor confort, it also means more security for everybody. I'm lad to know that if someone kills for sure the killer will put into jail.
