Amizing!

As many of my blogs, this one is about humans and their perception of life. For me, it’s curious that we go through life without noticing the little things that life has to offer. My father has taught me a lot about letting myself be amazed by the most insignificant things. It can be kind of silly, but those little images, sounds, smells, and feelings are the ones that make us realize that we’re alive and that we have a lot of things to enjoy.

It happens to me that I look thought the window and I see the tree that is right outside my house. It is a beautiful mesquite that my brothers and my parents planted when I was little. It is now flourished because of the spring and it has a gorgeous green and a little bit of yellow on its leaves. I listen to some Michael Bublé music and it makes me travel through time and imagine that I live in the 60’s and that I wear long skirts and that I have my hair curled. It actually makes me feel a little fancy and funny. Now that I feel that way, a smile comes out. I can also smell what my mom’s cooking for me. She’s preparing hamburgers and the smell of the meat is just great; it makes my stomach move.

These types of things make me enjoy moments in which I don’t precisely feel excellent, but the capacity to perceive in a positive way everything that surrounds me, it’s just great. I wonder how many joyful moments I’d have if I just remembered how happy it makes me feel to observe all the little details. I want to be like a kid that is amazed by everything.

Our activities help in the future

We are in school which has a variety of activities, groups, or student societies you can join. Many adults support this, and say that you “grow” if you are part of them, but how? How can a sport make the world a better place? How can a group help the economy of the country? How can an art, dance class, or a leadership group help you in a future? How all of them are related with this class?

Since I entered Tec, the teachers, principal, or people that came to conferences told us that all the extracurricular activities helped us during our life. I decided to enter to different things just for fun, but after a semester of being at Tec I realized that what those people said was true. With all the activities you became more independent and more responsible. You start to organize better and try to help more people. Also you get more mature, you increase your confidence, and you become capable of managing bigger problems. Also, because you are most of the time busy, you start to love all the things you do, I mean you don’t do it just because you are part of it… you become a member of it! Consequently, you really appreciate your free time and enjoy it. You start to understand the phrase “Work hard, live harder”.

But here comes the question, how does all those characteristics developed help in the future? With the things I have mentioned, you can interact with more people, you care about the world, and you are aware of the problems that it faces. For instance, if you were part of a sports team you can get a scholarship for university, you can continue studying, and when you are now working you have already the habit of commitment and working as a team. Or if you were part of a leader group, when you are working you already have the skills of interacting with people, organizing, and also working as a team. I think that if every person could join to a group, society’s life will increase. They will work with more enthusiasm, they will not stay just as lazy people, and more of the world’s problem will be solved as: unemployment (scholarships help you to continue studying; you have the spirit of innovation, can create new jobs), crime, corruption (people could become aware of what politicians are doing, and they will react), etc. So, the economy of the country could grow if everyone does something and create new things, people will communicate more and the international relations will increase. So I think that the things you do in the present really matters in the future.

Abortion

So, I wanted to talk about abortion. I know there is one post about abortion but I wanto to say somethig first, I agree with abortion. I know many people will think bad about me or that I´m very mean but I think abortion is in someway is good. Why? because first of all is it the decision of the woman not of anybody else (maybe a little of the father, but in the end is the mother who suffers).

I hate when people say "You have to have the baby" because it is so easy to say, they are not the ones with the big tummy, and the back pains the one taht will not sleep in the night, change diapers and many, many other things so it easy for them. I honestly don´t care at all if a woman decides to do an abortion, it doesn´t affect me or anybody else so I don´t understand why they care so much.

They also say about adoption and things like that but, people look for babies, the younger the better. So there are many kids who stay in those places until they have enough age to go. And most of those people are criminals because they didn´t have a family. Other thing is that they think they are unwanted, which in most cases is true, so they grow sad. I know this will sound mean but, if you don´t want them is better to get rid of the fetus while you can, we don´t need more people to use resources.

They are some cases in which the abortion is legal, one of those is if you have been raped, I will be really sad if I have to be 9 months withe the product of that horrible moment of I man I probably don´t know and have to be remainded of it each second of each day and then when the baby is born to have to see the face of that person, I know that the baby has no guilt, but I´m pretty sure the mother will not love that baby the same if the baby was born with the person she loved.

Other case is if some of the two are in danger. I´m not a mother, so I don´t understand why sometimes they decide to save the baby instead of themselves. I mean, you will miss more the mother, the one who have known for years, the one that has friends and family not the fetus who nobody knows. So it is better to sacrifice the fetus in that case.

And the last case is if the baby comes with a malfunction or some kind of disease. If the baby is born, it will suffer because you like it or not the baby will not have the same type of life like other kids, in many ways the baby will be discriminated and will not fit very good in society. I know that there are some teenagers that they don´t protect themselves and then decide to have an abortion, that is wrong but again, its their decision, their life and their conscious so lets just leave those people alone and focus on other things.
