Economic Crisis

economic crisis

homework

A single spark can make up a gigantic fire. This phrase can make people think and analyze it so that many ideas can come out. What can this phrase can seem and can be compared with the so mentioned crisis? What it represent? Well this phrase means that the big problem come out from a single thing. If we compare it with the crisis, the big error comes from a single error. This error makes up the crisis. The error can be divided also. The error comes from the so many people that asked for a lending. But this lending become continuously. Many people started to ask for money several times without thinking if they really needed or not. People sees very easy to buy things in such an easy way that they wanted to buy more. People spend the money they do not have. They ask for more money instead of thinking how to pay back what they asked before. Now imagine all the money that people are spending when they really do not have it.
In the other hand, the banks kind of think “it is a good idea to lend money to people, the more we lend, the more interests they will pay back , so lets lend them what they want, they will return us more, so we win. It is a good business.” The problem starts when they do not check if the people are able to pay back, if their economy is stable or not. Some banks ask for money to other banks to make their own business. The clear example was one of the UK bank (Northern Rock). With the money they received they make several businesses and of course they lend more to people.
The fire come out when one thing is not well functioning in the bank system. A snow ball effect come out and then it become a gigantic fire As we saw, the bank only stay with about 10% of the money people keep there. The other 90% is in a mixed process of lending money to people, lending money to other banks among others.
When the crisis is up high, we start blaming each other, when we do not see that we were part of the spark that made the crisis. To avoid this kind of problem, we need to be conscious about our finances, our economy, in other words we need to manage correctly our money and ask for money only when necessary. Banks should be conscious to who they are lending the money and how many they will lend. A good plan banks needed is to have an emergency plan in case of a crisis.
To avoid this we should need to be responsible of our own economy and ask for money when we really need it and always remembering that we will pay back more, so we can be careful when we ask for money to the bank.
The crisis is now going down and lets hope that with this “test” we can now be conscious to not repeat this one more time to avoid repeating the problem we are suffering.

The Army

those..........
As we know, the army is an important part of a country. The army serves as protection in case of an invasion. They also serve as helpers in case of natural disaster in the country. Some countries have inverted many of their money in constructing new weapons. Long time ago, the bigger your army the better you are. The same happens here but in less scale because the important things here are the new weaponry. The highest point in a used weapon was the atomic bomb in the Second World War. Now a days they are better weapons but just one of these ones can cause a disaster, that’s why the country will think it twice before using it. The army is important, but what will it be without a leader? Here are some of those leaders

Alexander Magno: conqueror of part of Asia, Egypt and Babylonia. He tried to fusion Greek and Persian civilizations, he died poisoned.

Escipion the African : he ended the domain of the Carthaginian in the Iberian peninsula. He defeated Anibal and ended the second Punic War.

Julius Cesar. He was general of the Roman Empire. For many was the best strategic man in history. He conquered Egypt and Galias. He was a dictator before he was assassinated.

Belisarius of Bizancio: he recovered many zones in Africa, Sicily and Italy during the Justinian’s kingdom.

Genghis Khan: founder f the Mongolian Empire. He was the leader of the Mongolian. He conquered the north of China, the central Asia, Afghanistan and Iran.

Gonzalo Fernandez de Cordoba: he was the creator of the professional army of Spain. He conquered Granada and the kingdom of Naples.

Napoleon Bonaparte: emperor of the French people, he conquered Italy, Prussia, Austria and the Iberian Peninsula. He was defeated in Russia and in the Waterloo War. He died in Santa Elena.

Erwin Rommel: he commanded part of the Nazi army winning several battles and he was in front in Normandy. He was arrested and obligated to suicide.

Mars

mars adventure.......... in moscow

Let be prepare if we want to go to Mars. The European Space Agency gives the opportunity to all the people of Europe to join a program called Mars Mission that consists in getting a group of 12 people to get away from civilization for 520 days. It consists on simulating a mission to the red planet. The agency along with the Russian Institute of Biomedical Problems said that the men and women chosen will see by themselves, separate from the rest of the world in fields near Moscow, Russia. To give more realism to this, the transmissions from radio will take 40 minutes to get and to go. This simulation will have the same things as the supposed the true mission to Mars, including the same trip phase that will take about 240-250 days, the exploration phase will take 30 days and the return phase, all with the same nutrition products similar to the ones the astronauts use in International Space Center. Some requirements are: be citizen of one of the members of the European Space Agency(Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, United Kingdom or Canada) , have from 25-50 years, have good health, 1.85m minimum, labour experience (medicine, biology, engineers in systems, electronics and mechanics).
An interesting thing here we have. To start preparing people in case we need to go to Mars to start our lives there. Maybe it could be difficult for the chosen people, but we need to remember that it will be the same difficult over there. This trip will be like a new experience where you need to use all what you have to survive (of course they would not let you die), buy you need to be intelligent and have strength to survive with what you have. In case we discover a place where human can live, there will be more camps like this one where they will train us to be prepared to survive over there.

The Castle Sale

the castle, and its spirit .............. for sale

In a communication, the agency of real estate Baytree Capital Associates of New York City in the United States has become the legal representative of the archduke Dominic Habsburg and his family, original owners of the castle Bran in the region of Transylvania, Romania. This castle is famous because it is consider the place where the Irish author Bram Stoker got inspired to write the very famous novel Dracula (1897). The castle was constructed in 1377 but become state propriety until 1947 and became museum until 1957. The Romanian government returned the castle to the Habsburg’s family in 2006. The idea is to put it on sale so that a European businessman can invert in this castle with a remodelation and conserve it as a historic building. Every year half a million tourists visits this place.
This famous castle is now on sale. The price can be very high but it has a not measurable price for history. It is important to conserve this historical castle that has seen hundreds of years pass by. It is important to have this castle with us. I think that the government and the owners need to make this castle a better place, to make it an historical museum so that hundreds of tourists can come to see the Dracula’s castle. It will be wonderful to pass by its hallways, visit its rooms and feel the presence of Dracula nearby.

Jerusalem

near Jerusalem a .......

It was discovered right in the middle of Nazareth, Israel, a roomed construction of the times of Jesus. Yardenna Alexandre director of this excavation helped by the Antiques Authority of Israel explained that this curious discovery is very important because this will give new ideas and more exact theories about the way of living in Jesus’ times. The curious discovery is small, with the typical Jewish structure of that period. It includes two rooms and a garden with a well excavated in the rock to get water from the rain. The artifacts recovered from the interior construction were few; the majorities were fragments of ceramic pots of the early Roman period (first and second century of our age).
This new discovery is little but in great amount of new theories and ideas about how those years were. This discovery can give us a new vision of Nazareth in the years of Jesus. This discovery is quite interesting, new old things are discovered in all the places around the world but people are more focused in Egypt and the Middle East. With these discoveries, the interpretation of history can be changed. How many things can be discovered and then we can be able to link these things and can solve many doubts we have today. There are many things people are still looking for, like the Holy Grail, the fountain of youth, and even Atlantis, among others. How many things are still hidden that can change many things now? But remember that if we found them it cannot always be good news.

Africa

.....and more.........

This country was colonized by Portugal since the XVI century until the middle of the XX century. John Reader narrates, in his book Africa, that when World War II ended many European nations started to give the independence to their colonies in the black continent, but Portugal stayed them with the justification that were sea provinces. That made a race for the independence of Mozambique that started in 1962 when several political groups formed a Front for the Liberation of Mozambique, which started one military campaign against the Portuguese government in September 1964. Ten years of battles and political changes in Portugal, made Mozambique obtained the triumph the 25 of June on 1975.
Its name come from the Portuguese Moçambique, which makes reference to the pronunciation of the name of the Arab governor before the Portuguese conquered that land. Its name was Xeique Mussa Ben Mbiki.
Mozambique is a country that had a good style of living during a period but now a day it is a poor country with several inner conflicts. Its currency is much devaluated. It has a severe inflation. It has many problems, and the average life is low but the people still have a smile, those eyes that have hope that one day they will come out and start being a place for opportunities for all people of Africa. In their face you can see the hope that one day they can be a wonderful nation for everybody.

German Culture

More about.......

According to the Area Handbook of the US Library of Congress, the oldest vestiges of the German culture come from the year 98. The first Reich was ramified from the division of the Carolingian Empire in 843 and finished in 1806 by the consequences of the Napoleonic wars. The actual German state was constituted the 18 of January of 1871, when it was proclaimed the German Empire, by the hegemony of Prussia, by winning to France . This, was dissolved when the World War 1 finished in 1918. The empire finished with the abdication of Guillermo II, during the Revolution of November, and was followed by the Weimar Republic.
The word Germany comes from the Germanic speak that means “land of the term of all men” , while in German, Deutschland means “land of the people”, and Germania (another way it is known) comes from the Latin Al-gairm, that was a war shout of old towns of the north of the Roman Empire.
A brief blog to know more about Germany. This is an interesting country to visit and to know more about their culture. Germany has a lot to offer, besides hot dogs and beer. Unfortunately many people only see Germany as the country that started the World War II. Many people when they say Germany they only think in Hitler, and forgetting many interesting things. Germany is a wonderful place to visit it has a combination of history and technology, making it a place that has the arms opened to receive all the people that wants to know about this wonderful country.

URSS

Remembering that day…
12 April 1961
This was the date when the USSR announced the world that the cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin has given a turn to earth with the rocket Vostok I. The trip permitted him to observe the planet from the space, something similar to what some meteorological satellites do today. When the trip was finished the soviets diffusion medias gave the news that when Yuri Gagarin was with Vostok I on top of the earth he mentioned: “here I did not see any God”. This elevated to the maximum the Soviet Union in the space race. The impact of the news was so big to the United States that that news obligated the United States’ president John F. Kennedy to organize one program to start advancing in the space race.

This man, Yuri Gagarin, put the URRS’s name really high, but not only that, he made the first great advance in the space race. With this advance, the Soviets were winning the space race and we can say the title of the “best nation”. With this, the United States’ government needed to start looking forward and try to be at the same level as the Soviets. What they did to be at the same level was that they landed first on moon. That made like a more conflict among this countries to be the best. They have been several rumors of if the US really landed on the moon or not. There have been several unclear details that made the people think that the US did not reached their goal to be at the same level as there enemy the Soviets.

Babylonia

All what the entire metropolis had… Babylonia

They are in Iraq, 80 km south from Baghdad. The capital of the great Mesopotamia, which hanging gardens were one of the seven wonders. It flourished during the kingdom of Nabucodonosor II (605-562 B.C) and was conquered by Alexander Magno in 331 B.C. Its habitants emigrated or were exiled by the year 275 B.C. By the year 140 B.C it was completely abandoned. With the time the town of Al Hillah grew with the ruins of the old city and in the XX century part of its walls and edifications were reconstructed by the government of Saddam Hussein. During the invasions to Iraq in 2003, one expedition of the United States’ army made severe damages to the archeological infrastructure.

The owner of one of the seven wonders is damaged thanks to the US army, and to time. This city was very important many years ago. It was a strategic point for trade marking and it was a business center. It was a big city with all what a man needed in that time. It was a very important city. Alexander Magno conquered this powerful city. Little by little the city was abandon, and was left as a ghost city. What are left are the some ruins, and the spirit of what was a powerful city, a trade market center and wind that takes what this entire metropolis had.

Jewerly

The earring, the talisman, the business, the society.

The popular costume of wearing earrings come from occidental Asia around the year 3000 B.C. the oldest earrings ever found are around the year 2500 B.C and were found in an excavation in the old city of Ur in the actual Iraq. Cultures such as the Indians, Persians, Hebrews, Babylonians, Germans, Arabs and Welsh used them as talismans. Wearing them was considered the best way to not getting sick or malefic influences and to bring good luck for those ones that wear them. The earrings consisted from stones and weeds until figures that represented gods, animals, vegetables or other objects. They were used by both males and females but they had a decline in the Middle Age, but little by little the returned their importance.

Earrings were also used as talismans such as chains, rings hats, crowns among others. The earrings evolved from the use for good luck until what we have today. Today we used them as a complementary for our clothes but some people used them as a form of elegancy and a way of expressing their social level class. They have evolved from an ordinary thing to a business; many jewel designers have got much money for the making of earrings. Nowadays we have infinitives designs from a single little ball to artistic hanging designs. An important fact is that nowadays mostly women wear them not like the first ones that both men and women used them. Little by little men are starting to use them again but society sees them in a strange way. The earring, the talisman, the business, the society.

Soccer

The one who introduced soccer…
The son of Scottish immigrant and Brazilian mother. His name was Charles William Miller. After studying 10 years in England, he returned to Brazil in 1894 and in his backpack he brought 2 soccer balls of the brand “shoot”, an air bomb, 2 uniforms and a book about this sport. The “father” of the Brazilian soccer has already played soccer while he was in the old continent with the team of his college in Southampton, where he was distinguished by scoring 25 goals in 41 matches. The first match celebrated in Brazil was the 14th of April of 1895 in the city of Sao Paulo, where the workers of the train station won against the workers of a gas company. The score was 4-2. The Paulist league of first division was born in 1901

As we know the Brazilians are world famous for their soccer. The Brazilian team has won 5 times the world cup. It is interesting how the sport became so popular in this South American country. As we know there have been many world famous soccer players throughout history. The Brazilians players are all around the world playing in many countries. One thing many have noticed is that in Brazil are few players in the league that will join the national team. Many players of the national team play in other countries especially in Europe. The Brazilians players become recognize because they play in European leagues, and in Europe they become soccer stars making them so valuable. The Brazilians players are so well recognized that many children in Brazil dreams becoming as one of their Brazilians soccer stars.

He is there, wating his next battle

The life of the captain Blas de Lezo y Olavarrieta, one of the most important marines in the Iberian military history, seems to arise from a legend or an adventure novel. His long life reached his climax during the Cartagena de Indies war in 1741 that take him to the glory but ironically also closed his destiny like one of the biggest forgotten heroes of the history. Thanks to him Spain got the control of the America and reaffirmed the powerful navy during half a century until the Trafalgar battle in 1805.

He was born in the province of Guipuzcoa in 1689 in a family that loved the sea. He entered the French navy and get involved in the Velez Malaga battle. He then entered the marine of his country, Spain. From there on his body become a souvenir of every battle. First he lost the left leg with a canon bullet. In the Santa Catalina de Tolon battle 1707 he lost his left eye. If it was not enough in Barcelona he lost his the right arm. He lost an ear later on. This man no mattering how his body was he still continued to battle and become a hero. The story said that he never said a word while he was suffering in the operations of his body. The Spanish men had respect for him. He was very lucky to not suffer any infection in his body while his body got cured. He was a great man, had passion for marine battles and always was there, without leg, arm, eye and ear, but always willing to fight again.

This is what we should call a hero. Just imagine him without many parts of his body but his love to continuing fighting at the sea was heavier. He fought and continued fighting for his country. This should be an example for us, the willingness of fighting not giving importance to the difficulties. He continued fighting until his death of pest. A hero that is now not remembered, an unknown hero, a man that gave his body for his love. His spirit is there in the sea waiting for his next battle.

Gay "Words",

It is attributed to the Austrian journalist Karl-Marie Kertbeny (1824-1882) the creation of the word “homosexual” the same he used for the first time in one pamphlet of 1869. He wrote in anonymous manner to protest against the law that punished the sodomy. With the word “gay” used as a synonym, was used in the English language since the XII century to refer to the people with lots of happiness. The sexual connotation was acquired at the ends of the XIX century, but to refer to the prostitutes or “women of the happy life”. For men a gay was a conqueror of women, and a gay bar was a brothel. It wasn’t until 1920 when the word was used to refer to the homosexual community, but also was used for heterosexual men “that enjoy the life” or that have certain social appreciation. At the middles of the 60’s decade the word obtained the modern acceptation.

It is interesting how a word is changing through the time. Here is an example. If you look in a dictionary the word “gay” you will find that it is a very happy person, but if you ask a person outside the meaning will be different. This is because the culture is changing and putting new meanings for words. If you travel you can find out that a word could have a different meaning there. I personally have lived it. I then started to think why it is like that. There is a whole vocabulary with different meanings depending on the culture you are. It is quite interesting to know them all, but time will be determinant because new words will have a new social “meaning” while words will have a new social “meaning”. A simple example is our fathers that most of the time they do not know our new vocabulary “meaning”, then they adapted our vocabulary in their vocabulary to be more “new age” people. Interesting.

NASA, a dispute

NASA
January 31 1958, 84 days after of be approved the project of Von Braun, the first rocket Jupiter put on orbit Explorer 1, the first artificial satellite of the United States. So exited were the politicians of that country that they understood the necessity of creating a civil institution that concentrated all the space activities with a peace character leaving the army, the marine, and navy to exclusives companies of military. That is why it was born the 1 of October of 1958, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) that substituted the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA). In the next years, with the direction of the NASA, was mitigated the initial Russian leadership in the area of space rockets.
With the creation of the NASA the Russians were not the only ones that wanted space. With this creation there is a dispute between the Russians and the Americans of who will be the best. As we know the Americans were the first to get to the moon, but the Russians (known as Soviets) were the first to travel to space. There has been a dispute with these two countries, for long time, always they want to know who the best is. There is a dispute not only in space, but also in who is the best army, the best in chess, in the medals of the Olympics, in strategy among others. I think that these countries will start fighting for the ownership of space including all the planets, stars, galaxies and what will be discover. I think there will be a big fighting, like the one of the Cold War where both countries wanted a single spark to go and through all their power see who is finally better. Luckily it did not started and said they will disintegrate their bombs, but as we know they did not do it, or at least not at all.

Is Black, Is White

Is black, is white.
The word white come from the Indo-European root “bhel” that means shine, to burn. The clarity of the white color comes from the capacity to reflect all the luminous radiations. The black colour is the opposite. The white colour is related with happiness, peace, and innocence.

At the end of the XIX century the women that will get married used this colour in her dresses. Nevertheless on the east part of the world the white colour get another meaning: the colour of death and duel. During many years in the court of the kings of France the mourning was represented with white clothes. Time passed by and the white clothes used in duels were replaced by black clothes. Even though we do not know with exactitude, the black colour has a connotation with death. Mourning in white is reserved in some cultures for the kings and gods, guard hope and renaissance, while the black colour represent the loss hope the way without return.
It is interesting how a simple colour can represent a totally different meaning. As we see black and white represent both happiness and sadness depending in the culture. Here in Mexico death is represented black while, while life, hope and happiness is represented with white. It is impresive how it can be different depending by the culture. For example we can see something normal in our culture, and in another culture it has a different meaning. I can give another example. in our culture it is normaly to eat fish from a cow, but in India, another culture it is not accepted to eat meat from a cow. It is quite intresting the meaning of a thing for every culture.

Don't Get Out Without Any Injury

Do not get out without any injury.
The criminal organization was born in the decade of 1980 in Los Angeles, United States. It was formed by members of the country El Salvador that have escaped from that nation when the civil war was in their country. That band called “la Mala Salvatrucha” or MS-13. It is active in Central America, Mexico and United States. The sum of those is more than 60,000 members. At the beginning they only accepted people from El Salvador but the organization have been internationalized by accepting Mexicans, Hondurans, Ecuadorians, Guatemalans and some Americans. Their activities are various, from stealing, extortion, car and weapons contraband and trafficking. Their members are easy to recognize by their tattoos they have in which they include the name of the Mara or the cell in which they belong. Also you could recognize them by the number 13 in which they associate their organization.

As we know these people are making many social problems. If you enter their territory is would be difficult to get out of there without any injury. This is a social problem because there are in the streets making bad things. The authorities are trying to control this problem, but it is becoming every day worse. Governments are trying to put more severe punishments to make people get scared and so that the people do not make a crime. I think these criminals did not have education or the environment where they lived show them that they needed to steal in order to succeed. This organization is growing, the authorities need to stop this. The people in Cental America is now scare to get out of their home because of this group. It cannot be possible that they are making disasters by stealing, using and selling drugs, and making us scare of going out of our home.

Not Known Place.

Not known place.
The zone of “Monte Mabu’ in Mozambique, didn’t appear in the map, until it was discovered by Scientifics of the Royal Botanic Gardens of the United Kingdom thanks to Google earth. This big forest located in the north zone of the African country, with big trees of 45 meters, is one of the most important discoveries of the last years. There, they have found new species of butterflies, snakes and birds to the degree that they have classified them by experts like a new paradise. The particular biodiversity of that place only known by the habitants of the area includes new species of antelopes, monkeys, and ant bears. The fortunate circumstances of the location occurred when scientists of the institute looked out for internet places that could served as one project of ecological conservation. The coordinates in Google earth are 16 degrees, 17’ 56’’ south and 36 degrees 23’ 44’’ east.

Wow!! Amazing. I thought that all the world was already known. When I read this article I couldn’t imagine it could be true. Thanks to Google earth now we know more about places we did not know before. Then I started to imagine if there are others places not known for the people. Just imagine finding a new place not known, it would be interesting. I imagine if those places that are not known are hiding a secret.

South Pole

During the decades and 1940 and 1950, Argentina, Chile and Great Britain formulated a series of reclamations for the South Pole, but they were not the only countries that wanted to get that region into their territory. That is why, and through several results from the International Geophysics year (1957-1958) in November of 1959 representatives of Argentina, Chile, Australia, Belgium, France, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Union of south Africa, USSR, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, and United States, joined in Washington D.C. to form an agreement that will benefit all the countries, protect the continent and foment the cooperation in investigation material. From a series of agreements, the representatives signed the first of December of 1959 the Antarctic treaty, in which it includes 14 articles that foment the international cooperation, make null whichever reclaim of ownership of the continent and to avoid the experimentation of nuclear weapons in the region. The treaty started in 1961 and had avoided conflicts between several nations like Argentina, Chile and Great Britain.

Now a days it is important the Antarctica because there is natural gas there. This treaty was important because there could have been a war among these countries to get that important region. I think they made this treaty where nobody would get the region, but beyond this, those countries still want that important continent. On example of this case is the Falkland Islands, which Argentina wants them, Britain too. These islands are very important and it is a strategic point because it is the entrance to the “so wanted region”

Lock It

Have you ever imagined who invented the keys and locks? Yes the ones you use to lock and unlock the doors….but the starter edition.
The Greek attributed this invention to Theodore of Samos in the times of Homer the poet but the reality is that the first doors with locks were made in Egypt nearly 4000 years ago. These doors can be opened from outside with keys. Both, keys and locks were made out of wood. The oldest evidence found of a lock was in Ninive in Mesopotamia and worked with the same basic structure as the Egyptians. The Egyptians locks models were only used by rich people but the Greeks were the ones who perfected the locks and keys so that they can be used by everyone.
An interesting detail that few people know, even though when they use them every day. I then imagine how many objects we use daily and not know or even imagine from where they come!!!! How many we not notice them, how many objects are there and we use them every day!!! It is interesting how these facts few people know about. How many....

Amazing Pill

A new experiment!!!
A new experiment can be the solution for persons with gastrointestinal diseases. Yes, you heard right. New intelligent pills that will permit identify the exact location of the problem in order to cure it. This pill is called “iPill” from the Netherlands’ company Phillips. This experiment is a very small pill with a very small camera that is swallowed to get into the digestive system. This pill can be programmed to put in a specific place the “medicine” where it is required. This incredible pill is also capable of measuring the level of acid in the stomach and can send reports so that the doctor can make his/her diagnostic. This pill is still in experimentation.

That is a great new. Just imagine the amount of technology this pill includes. Technology is in progress. Day after day new technology is created in many areas including medicine. Nowadays there are solution for diseases that did not have years ago. Scientists are creating new solutions or at least trying to find one to diseases that are killing many people. This pill is a great advance; hopefully in few years it would be in many hospitals but what will be the cost? And………….how will it come out?
