Last week in my French class the teacher was teaching us about TV programs of France. Since my teacher is from Cuba immeditely we started talking about TV programs of Cuba. Cuba is a country that is caracterized by having a government that few countries in the world have, known as Socialism. Socialism is a type of government known as GOVERNMENT CONTROL EVERYTHING .. but when I used to think about it I did not taught it was so radical. First of all government control works, food and EVEN TV! TV is controled in a way that people only have 4 TV chanels, but the thing here is that they do not have TV'ads!!!.. I think these is one of the most radical types of governments and i'm really against it, people have to always be allowed to earn money to buy wht they want, work in what they want, get the life they want! BUT how can this be so radical? and also how can people still follow that type of government. I do not say that Mexico's type of government is the best one or that people live better in here than in Cuba, but where are people rights? WE ARE FREE! we do not need some one to speal neither to gave us what they think we need. SPEAK OUT YOUR RIGHTSMonday, April 12, 2010

Lack of Coherence

This post is not to express if I agree or not with gay marriage, it’s more to give my opinion of what I’ve heard of it. Even we live in the XXI century, in a society which demands for freedom of expression and for respect, we don’t agree with it. It’s kind of incoherent. I’ve heard things like “I don’t have anything against gays, but they can’t get married, it’s just wrong”; “they can get married, but they can’t adopt kids, they will suffer a lot”; “I hate gays, they shouldn’t exist. I admit it, I’m homophobic”; “gays can get married, but they shouldn’t get out together to public places. It is just disgusting”.
Most of what I’ve heard doesn’t make a lot of sense. People demand for some things, and when they actually get them, they get upset because it didn’t worked exactly how they wanted to.
The gay marriage is something really new for a lot of us. It can be hard to assimilate but we need to be coherent with what we say. Sometimes it’s just better not to give our opinion about something because later on, we can regret. As long as we don’t affected by the gay marriage, we have no right to discriminate or to make gays feel bad about it.
This is a very controversial topic, but we need to focus on more important things that are damaging society.

Racism against Haiti

Last week the deputy from PRD Ariel Gómez León during his radio program said some comments about the people from Haiti. Hearing this you would think he had said something about being soildare with their condition and that as a society we should join and help them; but to the contrary he started to say tha the people from Haiti are "muertos de hambre" and really despective comments about the people. He also said that they deserved to die because they are black more exactly he said " negros abusivos!!!"; In what way could he think people from Haiti are abusive?
Sexual Traffic Of Children

You may not hear this problem very often and governments don't give to much attention to it. But the traffic of children is a very serious problem and every year its increasing. Its annual revenues were estimated in 2003 to exceed half a trillion dollars globally. This is twice the value of all United States currency currently in circulation at any given time, more than the annual gross national products of many countries.
To understand the sheer size of profits accruing from such terrible misery, consider this: a million dollars in gold would weigh as much as a Japanese Sumo wrestler. A half trillion dollars would come close to exceeding the entire population weight of a medium sized Australian city.
The profits come from child sexual trafficking in all its forms: white slavery, sex rings, pornography, the sex tourism industry, lap dancing, bogus adoption schemes, the untold millions of children globally entrapped in the sex trade industry who are forced to allow their bodies to be used in exchange for food, money, shelter, alcohol and drugs.Children are bought, sold, traded and misused in underground child sex markets daily. It is estimated that the profits would draw an interest exceeding US $2 million an hour. The sexual trafficking in children is not so much an industry but a global empire.Governments pay more attention to Mafia and Narcs struggle, to try stop corruption, try to give jobs but this is a big problem because people are abusing children, snatches them, never to be seen again.
The predators who control the sexual trafficking in children are well organized. They have thugs who snatch and break the resistance of children; banks who account the empire's profits without asking questions; ships that convey the hapless children from one continent to another and private planes that transport them to clients around the world.Yet there is little or no cohesive and sustained war against this terrible evil.
City surveillance: Crime deterrent or invasion of privacy?

The governments say they are doing all of this for our safety, but I don't think that way. They say is easier to caught people who commit crimes thanks to all this surveillance devices. That is okay as long as is for solving crimes only but now individual citizens are also having their privacy invaded in the work place by employers who utilize surveillance cameras and computer software programs to monitor their employees and forcing their workers to sign waivers of their expectations of privacy.
