The Internet Revolution

This news report had caught my attention because it's new topic that I would like to talk about. As time goes by, technology had evolved to become part of our daily private lives. We should consider that this is a new type of "revolution" that will change how we interact in the world completely, including some aspects of our government. I'm talking about the impact of the Internet of course. We can't live an hour without it, we are much attached to it. Some people feel like an "addiction" to the internet by pages like Facebook, Twitter, etc. A friend told me they are even some groups to leave the addiction, something like Alcoholics Anonymous. Leaving the personal effect on us aside, the Internet not only affects how we as humans communicate and "stay in touch" but also, some experts says it will affect whole industries, even the government. We have seen this type of issues before with the Internet. I remember we discuss in class about how the freedom of speech is being violated by governments like China by banning the site of Google and YouTube. They are forgetting the main ideas of great thinkers who fought to defend their beliefs, and now we are taking steps back. I know that China is kind of a mixed country that is moving with big steps in the economic area but is decreasing in the political area. According to the article, the internet revolution will be very slow but painful. This means that industries will reborn from their ashes to adapt to the new challenging world. The government can take advantage of this tool in a positive or negative way. The positive way is that the people will be more informed on what's going around them to have a better judgment and make right decisions. It can also be a place where online cooperation is held and the people's opinion is heard well. Of course, everything has a positive and a negative side. The article says that some people think that this tool in the wrong hands can be a dangerous tracker of persons. With all that is going on, people uploading photos and personal information, this can also affect us. The Internet will change the world undoubtedly, but is up to us what we share and what we don't. This tool can be very useful to us if we want to, we just need to be careful and don't just go with the flow that every site is safe. It has already started, so adapting is the solution to it.

Seriously RESPECT yourself. (SCARY TRUTH)

Few days ago I was watching the news in television and they where giving information about something that really make me anger. They where talking about flirbots, naughty pictures and people who use to send dirty or sexy messages how you like to call it. I did not knew many thing about this, so I started looking up on internet about this; I found out that it has been creating many problems in society not only because couples are sharing personal pictures and taughts by text messages. Also because bad people change their identity, because that is really easy on internet, and start persuading girls to send them naughty pictures. When the convince girls to send them they show them up on internet or sell them. So girls and also boys should be aware of this kind of thing beacuse it is happening. You have to respect yourself, your BODY! sending pictures in nude can cause severe problems in your life. The internet is very dangerous you will never be sure if it is safe to send those kind of pictures to someone you dont know in person, and also to people you knew.

5 reasons girls decide NOT to send this kind of things:

-You might regret it later

-People may thinks bad of yourself.

-You could damage your reputation.

-You could damage your family and future relationships.

-You can get into a probelm of rape or promiscuity.

TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT OS GIRLS AGES 13-16 HAVE SENT A SEXT TEXT MESSAGE OR1M. BUT DID YOU KNOW THAT 22% OF THE PEOPLE WHO RECIEVED IT HAVE SHARED IT WITH THERI FRIENDS, AND 39% OF PEOPLE WHO RECIEVED IT HAS FORWARDED IT. SO THEY ARE MANY CHANCES THAT IF YOU TEXT THING LIKE THAT SOME ONE ELSE SEE IT, WILL YOUT TAKE THE RISK?

Summer Wars

Last weekend I saw an animation movie called "Summer Wars" I really liked this so much that I consider it to be one of my favorites.

The main plot about this movie is that everyone in the world is connected to a famous web page called "oz", a webpage-like facebook. In this site, everyone can use it for playing, buying things online, communicate, or even working. The main problem arises when a virus shows up in the interweb, called "love machine". This extrange virus hacks every user from the webpage.
When doing this, the smart virus accesses the username's account and, since the username used this account to work, the virus can manipulate every aspect of his work. For example, if the hacked user worked in the system that controlled the traffic light, the virus can manpulate the traffic lights but not only that, it can manipulate hospital machines too, unfortunately, creating confusion and chaos to citizens, a new type of terrorism.

This movie suddenly becames more serious when the virus manages to hack an account that worked with a satellite. Knowing this, the virus enters the satellite's system and commands it to impact earth, creating a collition similar to a bomb.

This made me think that, since internet now a days is used more often, someday we will highly depend on it. I really understand that someday, the internet world will be the new type of main battleground for a world war, if we ever have one...

Distance Relationship

Maybe, a long time ago, the term "distance relationship" was rarely heard; however, nowadays, we hear this term a little bit more often. Basically, a distance relationship is that, where the people in it don't see each other physically and can only be communicated via telephone or internet.

I'm going to make a special emphasis on the internet. This tool has been in constant use for over 25 years by now and each day it gets more popular. So, what is the Internet really about? I like to consider it as a different "universe" of its own.

On the internet we find news, games, documents and also people. If we are in constant use of this, then, it's not weird we can get to meet, from time to time, someone else that's into it as well. Now, the thing comes when you sustain a relationship trough this tool.

In my personal view, there's no incovenient in doing this. The reason why people usually say that distance relationships through the internet don't work it's because they are completely new! Let's remember that when something new comes to our lives, we don't feel sure or comfortable about it. The same thing happens with these types of relationships.

Now, it will depend on each people how they manage their personal relations. It can be for them just a time of distraction or they can get to meet their ideal person. I won't deny that the distance relationship can be a little bit tricky, but I don't wanna say either, that they are a complete loss of time. They are still a relation between people, just that in this case, they are not physically together.

What I'm sure about, it's that this term will surely gain way more popularity than now and I'm sure it will be more common to hear or to know someone that does so.

Internet acces: A fundamental right?

Internet is a tool we use on an everyday basis. We are used to have internet access all the time and at a very close distance. It solves many of our problems, provides information and we even use it to do our homework! Communication is another of the main uses of the internet. Sadly, not everyone has internet access, which to us is a necessary tool. Who of us could lead a life with no internet? At one point or another we would lack information for homeworks or be out of touch with someone. But why don't we all have internet access? There are many parts of the world that do not have internet access because they´re either too poor and don't have the resources or are not allowed to have access to that much information. Lots of people have to live without internet, thing we couldn't do and some people do everyday.

Internet access should become fundamental right for everyone. The internet has created new needs and even though before we could live without internet connection, nowadays we cannot live without internet access. There are serious implications to what this means. Internet access becoming a right, would mean internet connection for everyone. It's not an easy task to achieve but if we reach our goal, the whole world would have communication; infromation from the whole world would reach other parts of the world in seconds. Many surveys have been performed on this topic and Mexico is one of the main supporters of having internet access become a right. Mexicans (along with Brazil and Turkey) are three of the main supporters of the internet and the freedom of speech that can be achieved through this.

Like everything, internet is not all good. There is a bad side to internet too, along with access to lots of information you also have access to tons of bad things too. Through internet you can see violent and explicit content, fraud can be committed and many things can be downloaded illegaly. These problems are not to be taken lightly, but these issues can be controlled by the law. By regulating internet access, you can be sure no one does this. Once this problems are under control, internet connection can become a fundamental right and we will all be connected as one big world.

Day to day..

Messenger, Facebook, myspace, twitter and a more websites and tools are used nowadays around the world. They say that internet can help us in a lot of things, such as in business and for education. But a lot of people use internet for other behaviors such as watching pornography, inappropriate blogging and also can lead to a shopping addiction. This is behaviors that only several people have, but a behavior that a lot of people are having is the internet addiction. They think that their life is the computer and the internet, having a computer without internet is like having a human without breathing. Now teens and even adults, have their life around the internet, if they don’t enter to the computer, messenger and Facebook, they say that they feel incomplete and anxious.
Yesterday I was with several of friends talking, and most of the time they were relating thing to things in Facebook, that’s when I decide to write a blog about the addiction to the internet. Facebook and other tools aren’t more an optional website is like a rule.
