Reaching Paradise

I was seeing japanese animations (don't judge me! I like them ): ) and one of them had captured my special attention. This animation's name was Higashi no Eden ( Eden of the East).

This animation was about a guy who received a cellphone with a massive amount of money with it. By having this, he entered a weird game that was about SAVING japan. By saving japan, I talk about the usual problems that whichever country has to deal with, like poverty, overpopulation, crime, etc..Anyways, this boy and other characters that have the same kind of cellphone have to do something in order to save their country. A man invested his money on a hospital. I think this was a REALLY great idea to save his country but the other characters on the story made things that I never thought could save a country.

One character suggested to kill all old people. Since they don't work and abstain to change their old points of views, they are a non productive resource to the country.

Another one suggested to kill all teenagers and people that the only thing they do is staying home doing nothing. They also keeped japan from growing, since they aren't working and only consuming its resources.

And another one just wanted to bring missiles to japan and with the population that survived start all over again.

This made me think that infact there are BAD ways to make a country prosperous. But the only problem is that they are doing it the wrong and lazy way. Here the problem is the way people think. They could implement institutions to help this people, like giving education to old people and to give reasons to work to those that don't bother to work. The only bad side of making institutions for helping is that they usually take a lot of time ( the characters needed quick methods, since changing people's mind is not as quick as killing them) so, how will you save your country?
