The impact of a local baseball team on society

Well, i decided to dedicate this entry to the most recent champions of the LMP (Pacific Mexican League), the baseball team of Hermosillo, the Naranjeros (Orange Growers, in English).

Now, i will like to say the impact that this team has on our society. Last Saturday night, hundreds of people were celebrating the victory of their favorite team. Luckily, the police anticipated this manifestation and put a lot of security around the main streets of the city such as Rosales, Rodriguez en Luis Encinas. There's no doubt that people felt a great feeling yesterday, personally i did. It is not very common to see people celebrating in the streets.
The impact of baseball in Hermosillo's society was very clear also in Sunday's evening. Party continued with the march starting at 5:oo PM. Hermosillo citizens were able to watch their players on a big car that carried them to the baseball stadium, in their way to the stadium they receive thousands of fans in the streets, cheering and clapping to them in honor of their championship.
