Music therapy is a process were people use music to improve or maintain health. It helps to improve the level of the quality of life in different aspects by using music experiences to achieve their goal.

Music therapy is being used to treat different diseases. According to some researches music can help to improve some diseases having a profound effect on the body.

For example, researchers suggest that listening Mozart’s piano can reduce the number of seizures in people with epilepsy. This is called the “Mozart effect

Depending on the disease the person has is the beat or type of music that they use. Music therapy can help cancer patient, children with ADD, and others. Also some hospitals are using this treatment to help pain management, to promote movement, to calm patients and other benefits. Some benefits include a decrease in blood pressure, heart rate and levels of anxiety in heart patients. Music can have surprising effects in our bodies.

Also music helps to relieve stress. Music is especially helpful in relaxation and stress management

I think that music therapy can be very important for some persons, because they can see how their health is improving while they are just hearing music. Not also for people with disease is helpful. I think that can be very useful for students like us, because sometimes all the homework and exams that we have stress us a lot provoking some disadvantages in our health and we don’t defeat like always. So, maybe hearing the music that we like can make us forget about all the things that we have and relax making us feel better, and making on us feelings of positively and doing things in a better way.
